625 Resi Units Planned for Pooks Hill in Bethesda

A partnership led by the Quadrangle Development Corp has filed initial plans for two 15-story residential towers in Pooks Hill. The glass towers will be built on two unused surface parking lots that take up six acres between the Marriott Hotel and the Promenade Towers. At a public meeting about the project, held in December, Promenade residents complained about the potential for more traffic on the two-lane Pooks Hill Road, Bethesda Magazine reports. The building is expected to hold 625 to 650 residential units. 15% will be set aside to meet the county's moderately priced dwelling unit standard. The project may also include as much as 35k SF of retail, and as many as 800 parking spaces. [BethMag]
