Ikea, the world's largest furniture retailer with 66 shopping centers and retail parks in 12 countries, typically settles in big-box suburban locations. But as people continue to move into the cities, the Swedish company plans to open several Ikea stores as part of large urban mixed-use developments with hotel, office and residential components.
