Bisnow: It's no secret that nationwide, bank lending is down from the peak of the cycle, partly because of regulations. How is EagleBank positioned?

Ron Paul: Our lending is really consistent with the way it’s been the past five years. We went out and raised $150M of capital last fall, so that has given us the capital that the regulators are looking for for us to continue to grow the 14% that we’ve been growing the past couple of years. From a regulator perspective, scrutiny is heavier than it’s ever been, but regulators look at us as consistent with reporting processes and a significant capital base that has allowed us to continue to grow. We’ve always been opportunistic and we will continue to be.
