Woodmont Triangle May Get Another New Development

The Lenkin Co is proposing a 16-story, 210-unit apartment building (above) to replace its offices at 4922 St. Elmo Ave, south of the new Bainbridge Bethesda, reports BethesdaNow. The Sketch Plan for the tentatively named St. Elmo Apartments will have 256,300 SF of residential space with a pool, rooftop deck and fitness center; up to 15,488 of office and retail space; and, of course, parking. Yes, 231 underground parking spaces highlighted by a ray of sunshine streaming from heaven…or maybe that’s just the lingering effects from an earlier eye exam. The Lenkin Co also hopes to work with Bainbridge to widen the 200-foot cut-through to about 40 feet and add art, benches and lighting. If approved by the Planning Board on Feb. 19, St. Elmo Apartments will join several new Bethesda developments, including Hampden Row by Toll Brothers’ City Living. The Washington Post reports that the 55-unit luxury Hampden Row is expected to begin sales soon.
