PN Hoffman, one of the developers behind D.C.'s The Wharf megaproject, is expanding to a new market and giving itself a new name.

The company announced Monday it is rebranding as Hoffman & Associates and is opening an office in Raleigh, North Carolina, this fall.

The PN in the name stood for Pete Nazelrod, who co-founded the company alongside CEO Monty Hoffman in 1993. Hoffman said the rebrand reflects that the company is now expanding to multiple markets.

"We are entering an exciting new chapter in our company's history with our expansion outside of the greater D.C. area along with the building of large-scale communities across different markets," Hoffman said in a release. "Hoffman & Associates illustrates how we, as a company, lead by building to better serve our communities."

The company, which is now headquartered at The Wharf, is opening a new office at 11 West Franklin St. in Raleigh. The office is located on the site of the $250M Seaboard Station development it is planning. The developer acquired the 7-acre site in December.

The Seaboard Station project is slated to include 800K SF of mixed-use development across three phases. Hoffman said opening an office at the development, as the company did at The Wharf prior to its 2017 grand opening, helps immerse it into the community.

"Opening a second office this fall in the heart of Seaboard Station in North Carolina represents exciting growth for Hoffman & Associates and our commitment to deliver value to the community," Hoffman said.
