Jefferson Apartment Group is adding to its D.C.-area development pipeline again, this time with a mixed-use project in Clarendon

The developer filed an application with Arlington County for a 128-foot-tall building with 211 apartments, 68K SF of office space and 13K SF of retail, UrbanTurf reports

The project would be built at 1025 North Irving St., a 2.5-acre site currently occupied by a Verizon building, a Wells Fargo bank branch and a parking lot. It sits about a quarter-mile from the Clarendon Metro station.

The development would keep the Verizon building in place and raze the Wells Fargo building and replace it with a new branch. The project, designed by Lessard Design, would include 251 below-grade parking spaces.

The application represents the latest in a series of D.C.-area projects for JAG. The developer last month completed a 132-unit project in Shaw. It broke ground in December 2017 on a 22-story, 330-unit project in Ballston and expects to deliver that project this year.

JAG filed plans this spring to replace the RCA Building at 1901 North Moore St. in Rosslyn with a 26-story multifamily tower. In May, it partnered with Starwood to acquire a property across the street from Nationals Park, where it plans to build 320 apartments.
