JBG Plans 225-Unit Georgetown Mixed-Use Project

After the Holiday Inn at 2101 Wisconsin Ave NW closed last year, The JBG Cos bought the property in June and has now unveiled its plans for the Georgetown site.

The Chevy Chase-based developer is bringing on Eric Colbert & Associates to design a 225-unit residential building with 20k SF of ground-floor retail, UrbanTurf reports.

The developer will bring the proposal to neighborhood groups before beginning construction, which it hopes to start in Q1 2017. Of course, as with all proposals going before Georgetown neighborhood groups, nothing is for certain.

This is the second Georgetown multifamily project to be announced in as many weeks, with IBG Partners and Willco Residential announcing plans for a 54-unit condo building at 3401 Water St NW. [UT]
