The first residents moved in earlier this month at 455 Eye, a new, 174-unit residential building in Mount Vernon Triangle

Equity Residential restored three structures built more than 100 years ago, two townhouses and a warehouse, and built two new residential towers, combining them all around a central courtyard.

The townhouses were converted into four two-bedroom units and the warehouse was turned into a space for amenities and a new 2K SF restaurant, Prather's on the Alley, which will open later this year.

The new buildings feature units from studios to two-bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. The amenities include a roof deck with a pool, a fitness center, an outdoor courtyard, a lounge and wet bar, a quiet study room and a conference room.

Near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Eye Street NW, the development sits in the heart of Mount Vernon Triangle and is within walking distance of Gallery Place and the Washington Convention Center to the west and Union Station to the east.
