Is a New Wizards Practice Facility on the Horizon?

Washington Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has been adamant about finding a standalone practice facility for the team since 2013. While he hasn't found an exact location yet, he hopes to make an announcement with all the details by the end of the off-season. He feels it's important to upgrade the team's facilities to stay competitive with other teams that are investing a ton of money into practice facilities, the Washington Post reports. Leonsis is hoping for a state-of-the-art facility like the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington. Once the location is determined, he expects it to take anywhere from 18 to 24 months to build. When complete, it will house the Wizards, the Mystics, and potentially a future D-League team. [WaPo]
