C&W Appoints Brian Dawson To DC Leadership Role

Placeholder

Brian Dawson has been given the nod to head up C&W’s investor services and agency leasing practice in DC.

The 28-year industry veteran will oversee a network of more than 140 brokers in the region, the Washington Business Journal reports. The company’s acquisition by DTZ has created some overlap in DC between Dawson and DTZ’s Roberta Liss, who was named market lead for DC and the Mid-Atlantic region back in September, but the two will continue to work together to ensure the continued growth of post-merger C&W.

Dawson joined C&W as co-manager of its capital markets group in 2007, and was promoted to head of the DC region in 2012. He has been part of the transition since acquisition plans were announced, with the firm ultimately determining that the DC office would remain the best fit.

Dawson has been regarded as C&W’s top broker pre-merger, with a résumé that includes being in charge of office leasing at The Wharf, where he hooked the American Psychological Association as a 63k SF anchor tenant. [WBJ]
