A Look at the New Washington

DC has a lot of transformational developments coming up over the next few decades, and before we know it will look so different we'll all feel like Rip Van Winkle. Washingtonian rounded up a few of these highly anticipated projects, including the Millennial-targeted White Flint (pictured), Union Station, the Southwest Waterfront, and a pedestrianized 11th Street Bridge Park inspired by New York City's High Line. Here's a glimpse of what you can expect from each:

1. White Flint: Express bus lanes and 9.8k SF residential units
2. Union Station: 1,300 apartments and condos and 1.5M SF of commercial
3. Southwest Waterfront: Three hotels and 200k SF retail
4. 11th Street Bridge Park: Interactive art exhibits and multilevel terraces [Washingtonian]
