US Travel Stays Put at 1100 New York

Richard Lane

Nobody was hurt when a torrent of irony flooded downtown DC today. That is to say, the US Travel Association isn't going anywhere--renewing its 22k SF lease at Manulife Financial's 1100 New York Ave. West, Lane & Schlager principal Rich Lane (who repped the tenant with colleague Eric West) tells us the deal is an 11-year extension, and that in July, US Travel will completely gut and renovate its space while shacking up in temporary digs until work is finished in October.

Rich says the project allows the tenant to accommodatemore people, as well as create a more contemporary and efficient environment. US Travel has been in the building for two decades.
