Placeholder

A Point Grey home listed for $7.8M has sold for more than $1M over asking. Bo Park of Sutton West Coast Realty told CBC News she’s "never seen anything like it" in the 25 years she’s been in the real estate business. Eleven offers were submitted on the 4,400 SF, four-bedroom property (above), which the realtor described as “more like a teardown,” and the house ultimately sold for $9M to a young couple with two kids. The benchmark price for all residential properties in Metro Vancouver reached $795,500 at the end of last month, up 22.2% versus the same period last year, according to the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver. A West Vancouver home sold earlier this year for $1.1M above asking. [CBC]
