Mathew Sunderland, the new industrial sales and leasing VP at Avison Young in Vancouver (he moved from CBRE) expects some exciting announcements from logistics groups and measured spec development of larger-bay distribution facilities. "There are half a dozen companies at various stages of deals," Mathew says, adding he knows of several substantial landlords who've committed to building projects between 80k to 200k SF. Mathew's an avid skier and prefers his powder local. "Whistler—not much reason to go further."
