Morguard Wins 'Epic' Stationary-Bike Relay

Cycling teams from Morguard, GWL Realty Advisors, Pallet Valo LLP and seven other firms converged on the patio of Avison Young Mississauga’s offices earlier this month for what marketing coordinator Katherine Garcia tells us was an “epic” stationary-bike relay race, with Morguard beating the others. The event, the inaugural Inside Ride – Avison Young Corporate Challenge, raised $7k (and counting) for the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation (CTCACF), which supports families battling childhood cancers. And here’s Pallett Valo’s team and cheering squad. All funds raised send kids fighting cancer to oncology camps Camp Trillium, Camp Quality or Camp Oochigeas—safe, protective environments “where kids can just be kids,” says Katherine. At a cost of $1,500 per week per child, the camps rely 100% on funding provided by CTCACF, she notes. Avison Young Mississauga’s Trevor Ellis, Kevin Beaudry and Diana Hartt organized the race. Katherine's urging others to take part. "We’re looking for brave souls for 2016.”
