Slate Retail REIT has reached an agreement to sell a portfolio of five Food Lion-anchored properties in the US for $21.9M. The sites are Madison Plaza, Lovingston Plaza and Bowling Green Plaza in Virginia; Gaston Marketplace in South Carolina; and Triangle Food Lion in North Carolina. Slate Retail CEO Greg Stevenson says his firm, which last month bought a Food Lion-anchored property in North Carolina, continues to see “very attractive opportunities” to buy overlooked assets and higher-quality properties that offer greater upside and income potential.
