Oxford Properties Group has launched the redevelopment and expansion of the former Target space at Upper Canada Mall, with a new 64k SF Sport Chek and 40k SF food market coming to the Newmarket shopping centre in 2018. The food market will have 25 vendors, including a butcher shop, fishmonger, cheese shop, bakery and juice bar. It is part of what Oxford retail senior vice president Brad Jones said is his company's commitment to enhancing food and beverage offerings across its national portfolio. The food market will be anchored by full-service restaurants around the centre's Yonge Street-facing entrance. Oxford co-owns the 968k SF Upper Canada Mall with CPPIB.
