The landmark Bank of Toronto building at 205 Yonge St. has just been listed for sale through a bid process. “There's an opportunity here for somebody to pick up a trophy asset in one of Toronto's most high-profile locations,” said listing agent Shawn Abramovitz of Core Consultants Realty. Final bid date for the property (designed by E.J. Lennox, the Toronto architect behind Casa Loma and Old City Hall) is March 23. The 17k SF heritage-designated former banking hall — whose marble walls and mosaic and terrazzo floors are still intact; ditto its Corinthian columns and domed roof — is an architectural gem, Abramovitz said. “It needs bit of love, though — it hasn’t been renovated since the mid-'90s."
