Slate Acquires Winnipeg Building, Raises Stake In St. John’s Properties
Slate Office REIT’s acquisition pipeline is robust, says CEO Scott Antoniak, and the trust continues to see significant opportunities to grow its portfolio. That would include the two office deals it announced yesterday, which raise the REIT's holdings to 34 assets and total GLA to 5M SF. Slate is buying 365 Hargrave St in Winnipeg, a 71,742 SF building (above), for $12.25M, making Government of Canada the largest tenant in the REIT's portfolio by revenue. The trust is also acquiring full control of three St. John’s office buildings, The Places, which it had co-owned with St. John's Harbour Properties, a $19.8M investment.
