The folks at Oxford Properties Group are taking a few bows this morning with the new environmental initiatives in their buildings being recognized by others in the industry. (It's like being named Prom Queen, except this will matter in five years.) Oxford is the only Canadian developer to be named a Green Lease Leader, an inaugural program started by the Institute for Market Transformation and the US Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Alliance to recognize property owners, tenants, and brokers who use lease clauses as a tool to save energy in commercial buildings across all property types.

Oxford SVP and managing director Andrew McAllan, a 40-year industry vet, oversees the retrofitting of Oxford buildings into LEED-certified structures.
