Placeholder

Bridgepoint Hospital has become the first hospital in Toronto to receive LEED Silver certification, one of 202 projects across Canada that got LEED certified between Jan. 1 and April 30 by the Canada Green Building Council, including 90 LEED Gold. It brings the total number of LEED-certified projects in Canada to 2,252. Bridgepoint, a 680k facility that opened in 2013—the first purpose-built hospital designed specifically to provide care for patients requiring rehabilitation—claims to be 30% more energy efficient than a building designed to standard code requirements, generating annual savings of $900k.
