  The Rt. Hon John Gummer, Lord Deben, is the founder and Chairman of Sancroft International, a consultancy that advises both businesses and investors on all areas of Sustainability and ESG. Between 2012 and 2023 he was Chairman of the UK’s Independent Climate Change Committee. Lord Deben was also the UK’s longest serving Secretary of State for the Environment (1993-97) having previously been Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food. His sixteen years of top-level ministerial experience also include Minister for London, Employment Minister, and Paymaster General in HM Treasury. Lord Deben is currently Chairman of Valpak Ltd and of PIMFA, the trade body representing financial advisers and wealth managers. Throughout his political, business, and personal life Lord Deben has consistently championed an accord between sustainability and business sense.

Bill continues to play an active role in several influential government and industry committees around responsible investing, infrastructure, urban regeneration and housing.   Zoe is Head of Real Estate for Evelyn Partners and prior to joining Evelyn Partners, Zoe was a Corporate Tax Partner at EY for 9 years and before that she was at Deloitte for 10 years. She has over 27 years’ experience in the provision of domestic and international corporate tax advice, fund structuring and M&A transactions, with a specific focus on the Real Estate & Construction. Zoe advises on tax matters arising from tax compliance and reporting as well as projects including providing due diligence and tax structuring advice on transactions. Richard has a background in commercial/retail real estate both client side and in agency and from 2012 was responsible for the launch and European expansion of Amazon Locker. He will bring over 20 years of experience to promote and develop evlab®, Syzygy's award-winning desktop analysis software - as well as leading the team to further embed Syzygy with new and existing clients requiring an end to end solution to deliver EV charging projects. Richard made the move from real estate to EV because of a genuine commitment to improve the UK’s air quality for the benefit of future generations and is regularly held to account on “what daddy has done at work” by his three young daughters. In his somewhat limited free time away from childcare, Richard is sports mad but admits that this has migrated from playing to watching in recent years.

  Chris heads Trowers' Energy and Sustainability team, and advises on a range of energy related projects - including district heating/cooling, energy supply/connections and renewable energy. He also advises on wider energy efficiency and retro-fit projects, including large-scale financed energy performance contracts and demand-side management initiatives. Chris specialises in the procurement and structuring of district utilities, including heating and cooling, electricity and water connections and associated infrastructure.   Morwenna Hall, a chartered mechanical engineer, is an Executive Director at Related Argent. She joined the firm (then Argent LLP) in 2011 and in addition to her corporate leadership role, has led the design and delivery of several major projects at King’s Cross, including Coal Drops Yard – a thriving shopping and leisure destination with more than 50 shops, cafes, bars and restaurants - the Fish & Coal building and Gasholder Park. Morwenna now leads on the ground floor uses, public realm vision and activation for Brent Cross Town, a new park town that brings together the very best of London’s great neighbourhoods while making the most of its natural assets and opportunities. Its most distinct local feature is a 44-acre playing field that is destined to become one of London’s great parks and home to a wide variety of new play and sports facilities. Morwenna started her career at Arup as a mechanical building services engineer.   Lindsay Taylor leads the implementation of Deepki’s ESG platform & consultancy services across for global real estate clients, accompanying stakeholders all the way from data collection & analysis to ESG strategy alignment to implementation with the goal of accelerating real estate’s environmental transition towards net zero and sustainability. Starting her career in hospitality, initially in operations then into commercial pricing, her roles highlighted a lack of easy-to-access data that allows for clear, effective commercial decision making.  Lindsay branched out into data systems and technology which in turn lead her to real estate, which was and continues to struggle with the same issues of single source of truth and easily accessible data. Through her journey in real estate, data has become more accessible, with SMART building technology and the drive to reduce carbon on the journey to net zero.   Anastasia is a partner in Maples Teesdale’s commercial real estate team and is Head of ESG at our firm. In this role, Anastasia leads our ESG committee, which is committed to understanding the changes and how it affects our clients and their business interests, assisting them to respond swiftly to challenges and opportunities across all sectors and disseminating this information both within our firm and externally. Anastasia has extensive experience of capital transactions; acquisitions, disposals and refinancing of commercial property, including portfolios and sale and leaseback transactions; developments, pre-lets as well as asset management [shopping centres, retail parks, hotels, warehouses, industrial parks and offices]; and specialist expertise in dealing with embassy and ambassadorial premises.   Emilio Cereijo

  Emilio joined Patron in October 2019 as Chief Sustainability Officer and is responsible for the implementation of Patron’s sustainability policies across its projects throughout Europe. Alongside this, his role as a Development Director sees him focus on projects in Spain, France, Portugal and Italy. Prior to joining Patron, Emilio was responsible for the expansion of Generator Hostels, including the development of projects in Barcelona, Rome, Madrid, Miami and Washington DC, and oversaw the implementation of the business’s sustainability strategy across these assets. Emilio previously gained experience at Saco Property Group, Urbaser, EC Harris, World Bank and Ibinser/Deerns, where he managed projects for clients including Blackstone, Hard Rock, Anytime Fitness and Cisco Systems. Emilio has a civil engineering degree from Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya and has been a professor at the University in Barcelona, as well as a guest lecturer at the University of Milan.

  Nina is a Senior Manager in the Real Estate Investment team at Norges Bank Investment Management. Norges manages approximately $55 billion in real estate investments across listed REITs and direct investments in office, retail and logistics on behalf of the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund. Nina’s primary responsibilities includes the development and implementation of the fund’s ESG strategy across its global real estate portfolio.   Shravan is presently the Chairman of the Planning & Transportation Committee and a Member of the Policy and Resources Committee. He is also the Policy Lead for High Growth Markets for the City of London Corporation. He has served since 2018 as an elected member at the City Corporation and has held various positions including, Deputy Chairman of the Licensing Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Streets and Walkways Sub-Committee & Deputy Chairman of the Property Investment Board. Shravan started his career in investment banking but moved to the energy sector in 1999.   As a chartered Sustainability Consultant for Drees & Sommer, Ana has a wealth of experience in ensuring core sustainability aspects are embedded within projects, making sure they are supporting our pathway to net zero carbon and wider environmental and social sustainability agenda from the onset. She has worked in developing sustainable planning & implementation strategies, benchmarking systems for build assets, health & wellbeing, net zero carbon, healthy materials, and international project work across all project stages from concept/competition through to completion. Starting her career with Landcare Australia, a grass-roots environmental charity, Katherine has international research and communications experience. This includes work with the Canadian Standards Association in Toronto during the pandemic and five years for Special Acoustic Services (SAS International) in the British manufacturing sector.   Pete has been a Board Director at Piercy&Company for the last decade and oversees a wide variety of projects. He also leads our building resilience group and has a particular interest in how we holistically assess our decisions around how and what we build and move beyond reductive metrics. Pete's central London experience covers commercial and residential sectors, from the recently completed Forge buildings for Landsec, the soon-to-be-complete 300,000 sqft mixed use R8 buildings at King's Cross for Related Argent and a new campus workplace in Shoreditch for Brockton Everlast. Due to complete next year, 38 Berkeley Square for BEAM will be the first tall exposed timber building under current fire regulations and sets a new benchmark for workplace on an iconic London square. The building will be the new home of Chanel's corporate headquarters. Outside the practice, he is a member of the Lambeth Design Review Panel and a design tutor at the London School of Architecture.
