  Rob is President and Chief Investment Officer of KingSett Capital. He joined KingSett in 2004 and has overall responsibility for the execution of the firm’s strategy and delivering results for investors. Rob chairs KingSett’s Investment Committee, which oversees new investment activity, project finance strategy and KingSett’s mortgage lending business.  Rob also chairs the firm’s Management Committee, which is responsible for the oversight and ongoing implementation of KingSett’s business strategy. Rob holds a degree in Honours Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University and is a member of the school’s Advisory Board. Rob is also a director of the Sinai Health System Foundation in Toronto.

  Antonio Niro

  Antonio Niro has 15 years of experience in multiple asset classes including multi-family, industrial, office and retail. Prior to joining The Rose Corporation, Antonio was Director of Real Estate for Distrikt Capital, focused on new multi-family investment underwriting, capital & investment structuring, and corporate development. Concurrently, Antonio also served on the investment team at Fundamental Real Estate Investment Partners, a Distrikt operating affiliate focused on the acquisition of triple net single tenant investments throughout the U.S. Prior to joining Distrikt, he was Associate Director of Real Estate at Granite REIT, a publicly traded company that owns and manages an international industrial portfolio. He previously worked at Deloitte & Touché in the Real Estate Assurance Advisory Group where he earned a Chartered Accountant designation. Antonio also holds a Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a CFA Charterholder.

  Simon Holmes

  Simon Holmes is a Managing Partner for BGO and is Portfolio Manager for the Prime Canadian Property Fund with responsibility for overall portfolio strategy, governance, administration and client relations. Simon’s experience encompasses significant portfolio and asset acquisitions and joint venture structuring and includes some of Canada’s largest and most significant recent transactions. Prior to re-joining the firm in 2016, he spent 10 years at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), most recently as a Portfolio Manager with responsibility for Canadian real estate investments across numerous property types. During his time at CPPIB, he also played a key role in the growth of the organization’s U.S. real estate investment program. Simon holds a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University

  Craig Hippern has 30 years of real estate, venture capital, private equity, and hedge fund experience, having invested capital in diversified portfolios throughout North America, the UK, Europe, and Asia. During his career, Craig has an impressive record of achievements in the development of all real estate asset classes including industrial, commercial, retail, and residential. He is currently leading Mantella through an exceptional period of growth and executing on a comprehensive strategic vision. Prior to Mantella Corporation, Craig held several leadership positions including as the CFO of a real estate development company that successfully developed, amongst other projects, a 2,300-acre master-planned community; as CFO & COO of a Toronto-based venture capital firm focusing on mental health & wellness; and as the CFO of a Bermuda-based event-driven hedge fund. He was also the capital markets lead on a $5 billion debt financing, which was the single largest infrastructure financing deal in Canadian history. Craig has a CPA, CA, a U.S. CPA(IL) and has earned a B. Comm (Co-op) Honours degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He believes in giving back to the community, having served as CFO or Trustee of several charitable Foundations.

  Kristy Shortall

  Kristy Shortall is the Senior Vice-President of Development at Northcrest, a subsidiary of PSP Investments, with 18 years of experience in securing approvals for a variety of urban and rural development projects. Her experience includes managing and coordinating the professional and technical teams involved in the land development projects, reporting project progress; coordinating, negotiating and communicating with municipal/regional departments and representations; organizing public consultation sessions; assisting with development agreements and aligning development objectives with provincial and municipal regulations and guidelines. Currently working on the redevelopment of Downsview Airport, a 370-acre transformational mixed-use project in the heart of Toronto. Prior to joining Northcrest, Kristy was Vice-President at Metropia, a master-planned developer specializing in mixed-use communities.
