  Mark is a Managing Member of Open Realty Advisors and founded the firm in 1987. Mark leads Open Realty’s principal investment endeavors, hotel development and new business generation. He was a founding venture investor of Restoration Hardware and a founding partner of Retail and Restaurant Growth Capital, an SBIC lending fund focused on growing retail and restaurant ventures.   Buddy Rizer

  Buddy Rizer serves as the Executive Director for economic development in Loudoun County, Virginia, which was named the 2021 Economic Development Organization of the Year by the International Economic Development Council. He leads the agency responsible for encouraging growth and developing relationships with Loudoun’s business community in both the commercial and agricultural- based business sectors. During his tenure, Rizer and his team have attracted more than $65 billion in new commercial investment and more than 60 thousand new jobs. During this time, the growth in the commercial based has helped lower the tax rate in Loudoun by more than 48 cents on the dollar, saving residents thousands of dollars annually on their tax bill. Mr. Rizer has been named a Tech Titan eight times by Washingtonian Magazine (2017 – 2024), one of the 50 most influential Virginians six times by Virginia Business Magazine (2018 – 2023), a five-time member of Virginia’s Power 500 (2020 – 2024), and three times named to the Washington Business Journal’s Power 100 as one of the most influential businesspeople in Washington, DC (2020, 2022, 2023). In 2024, he was named as one of the 50 most influential people in Northern Virginia by Northern Virginia Magazine. Mr. Rizer is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), a certified Entrepreneurship Development Professional (EDP), has a master’s in business administration/economics from Longwood University and is a graduate of Virginia Tech's Local Government Management Graduate Program.

  Mr. Dan Coughlan joined TRITEC Real Estate Company as a Principal in 1997. Dan directs the company’s Washington, D.C. metro office where the firm recognized considerable opportunities for growth on both sides of the Potomac, developing apartments, office and retail centers that serve a growing and vibrant region. Prior to joining TRITEC, Dan was an asset manager in real estate for GE Investments, an advisory group for General Electric Pension Funds. His respected insight and unique appreciation of the marketplace saw him concentrating on acquisitions and asset management for properties east of the Mississippi River as part of GE Investment’s $4 billion real estate portfolio. Prior to GE, Dan worked as a commercial real estate lender and work-out specialist in real estate assets with Riggs National Bank as well as a credit specialist and underwriter for Connecticut Bank & Trust. Dan holds a Masters Degree in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.

  Nick Over joined PDG in January of 2023 as a new principal with a focus on development and acquisitions opportunities. Nick’s expertise includes identifying, evaluating and initiating new real estate development opportunities within existing assets or raw land with a focus on mixed-use, retail, residential, and office products. Creatively finding value-add opportunities and executing on complex entitlements and construction is what drives him. Nick is an industry leader who can multi-task and has extensive firsthand lead experience from project conception through to completion and on-going operations of mixed-use assets. Prior to joining the PDG team, Nick was the Vice President of Development for Retail Properties of America (now Kite Realty), where he led the development teams in the east region. Prior to RPAI/Kite Realty he spent 10+ years at The Peterson Companies and Federal Realty Investment Trust supporting some of the largest development projects in the D.C. / Baltimore corridor, Nick has the ability to leverage his local relationships with property owners, developers and municipality officials to identify value enhancement. Nick has a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and a J.D from Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. ICSC and ULI member.

  A native of Reston, Michael joined Walsh Colucci in 2004 and primarily focuses on managing the legislative approval process for clients seeking rezonings, special exceptions, zoning modifications, and other land use approvals. Michael has gained extensive experience through his work in Loudoun County and the Town of Leesburg and has been involved in several projects in other Northern Virginia municipalities. In addition to providing project management experience, Michael has a thorough understanding of local zoning ordinance, comprehensive plan, subdivision and site plan standards as well as significant experience in drafting proffer statements, zoning determination request letters, statements of justification, and various other land use documents.

  Kevin Reynolds is Executive Vice President and Regional President, Director of Sales for United Bank, a subsidiary of United Bankshares, Inc. with $14 billion in assets and over 80 branches in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Formerly president and director of sales for Cardinal Financial Corporation, Kevin joined United Bank in April 2017, following its acquisition of Cardinal Bank. Prior to establishing Cardinal Bank with a select group of community bankers in 1998, he held executive and management positions with several leading area financial institutions, including George Mason Bank and American Security Bank. Kevin’s volunteer efforts, business expertise, and hands-on support have helped organizations throughout the area raise funds and awareness for their causes. His contributions have made a difference to organizations as diverse as the American Heart Association, Cornerstones, The Economic Club of Washington, DC, Rotary International, The Gladney Center for Adoption, Children’s Science Center, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Special Olympics, Homestretch and The Martin Luther King, Jr. Cultural Foundation. He serves as chairman of the United Cardinal Classic, an annual golf tournament that has raised $5.3 million to benefit Inova Kellar Center and community organizations around the area. Kevin’s contributions toward improving the quality of life in the region are widely recognized and reflect his years of service and dedication. He was elected board chairman of the 2015 World Police & Fire Games, the second largest multi-sport event in the world, surpassed only by the Summer Olympic Games. He was awarded the 2012 Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive of the Year for Large Businesses, and was finalist for the 2012 Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Executive Leader of the Year. Kevin was named the 2010 Business Citizen of the Year by the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce and was honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2009 as one of Washington’s most outstanding fundraising volunteers. That same year, he was honored by Leadership Fairfax with a Regional Leadership Award for fundraising leadership. A graduate of The College of William and Mary, Reynolds earned an MBA in Finance/Business from The George Washington University. He lives in Oakton, Virginia with his wife, Stacey, their two children, and two golden retrievers.
