  Paul Kaseburg

  Paul joined MG Properties Group in 2010 and is responsible for the firm's acquisition, disposition, and capital markets activities. At MG, he has been involved with the purchase of approximately 22,000 units totaling $4 billion in total consideration. Paul has 20 years of experience in real estate private equity investment, capital markets, and corporate M&A. Prior to joining MG, he held various roles in commercial real estate debt and equity acquisitions, development, and financing. He has a background in corporate M&A and venture capital investing at Northrop Grumman (NOC). Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

  Jennifer Litwak

  Jennifer Litwak is the Executive Director of Housing on Merit and has successfully managed the closing of over $475 million in multifamily acquisitions and overseen the development, preservation and renovation of over 4,674 units of affordable housing nationwide. She is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law and serves as Vice Chair of the Residential, Multi-Family, and Special Use Group. Ms. Litwak serves as an appointed member to Urban Land Institute’s Affordable & Workforce Housing Council. In addition, Ms. Litwak is a Board of Trustee of the National Housing Conference and serves on their Research Committee, which advises the Center for Housing Policy. She has taken on numerous roles with Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW) and served as an appointed member of various National Committees including, Network Industry Research, Member Education, and Scholarship Selection since 2016. In 2020, Ms. Litwak was inducted into the CREW Visionaries program. Ms. Litwak is recognized as an innovative thinker and disrupter within the affordable housing industry. In 2019, Ms. Litwak became a Fellow of the American Bar foundation, a global honorary society of legal professionals and scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, and received the Gamechanger Award from Connected Women of Influence. She was also selected by GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum as a Women of Influence for her achievements in the Humanitarian category in 2020 and in the Independent/Non-Business Professional of the Year category in 2019. In 2017, Ms. Litwak was profiled by the Daily Transcript’s Influential Women Report as one of the most influential women in San Diego County, and in 2016 she was chosen as one of the Top 100 Business Professionals in San Diego. Ms. Litwak was recognized as one of Real Estate Forum’s Fifty Under 40 in the commercial real estate industry in 2015. Locally, Ms. Litwak serves as an Advisory Committee Member for CREW San Diego’s Board of Directors and is the Chief Financial Officer on the Board of Directors for Home Start, a local non-profit child abuse prevention and treatment agency. An avid philanthropist, she is a member of San Diego Women’s Foundation and Women Give San Diego. Ms. Litwak earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She is a graduate of the prestigious Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP) program of the Council of Development Finance Agencies and completed an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Ms. Litwak is also an active member of 2020 Women on Boards, Corporate Directors Forum, Junior League of San Diego, and National Women’s History Museum’s Council XIX.

  Seth Grossman

  Mr. Grossman is a Senior Managing Director at Meridian Capital Group. He opened the firm’s San Diego office in May 2011 charged with expanding the company’s presence throughout the western and southwestern states. In his 10+ years leading the west coast for Meridian, Mr. Grossman has built a team that has originated and closed more than $12 billion of debt and equity transactions spanning more than 600 loans across primary and esoteric asset types. Prior to opening Meridian’s San Diego office, Mr. Grossman was a Structured Finance Analyst Fitch Ratings, a Principal at Mission Peak Capital, and worked in Meridian’s New York City office where he closed in excess of $3 billion. Mr. Grossman attended NYU, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management.   Curtis Gabhart is the CEO of Gabhart Investments, Inc - a privately held real estate investment that manages a syndication of private investors, specializing in acquiring and renovating multifamily and single-family homes, in addition, they also provide brokerage, consulting, and syndication services. Curtis is also the owner of one of San Diego’s top residential and commercial painting companies, TruLine Painting. Curtis has been a successful Real Estate Professional for nearly two decades. He is one of the top multi-family brokers in San Diego and was awarded by San Diego Business Journal as the Dealmaker of the Year for 2015 in both Multi-Family and Retail.   Stephen Anderson joined CityView in 2014 and is responsible for identifying new acquisition and development opportunities. He has 11 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, entitlements and development. Prior to joining CityView, Anderson worked at the Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles for five years where he managed the approval and financing for more than 1,000 units of market and affordable housing across Los Angeles. Prior to that, he worked at Macerich leading the financing, entitlement and expansion of the firm’s regional mall portfolio. Anderson also worked for Tishman Speyer on acquisitions and development in San Francisco. He has a Bachelor of Science in Planning and Development, Minor in Architecture and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.

  Bob has over 25 years of real estate development experience. Previous to Chelsea, he was the San Diego Division President for Barratt American for 5 years. Prior to Barratt, he was with K. Hovnanian Homes for 12 years and was their San Diego Area President. Bob also worked 5 years at Patrick Development after his service as a Naval Flight Officer, flying the carrier based S-3 Viking jet. He joined Chelsea Investment Corporation in 2012 and has developed and constructed over 800 housing units for the company. He received his MBA from the University of San Diego and his BS from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis. He was the 2010 Chairman of the San Diego Building Industry Association.

  Doug Austin

  Doug Austin, FAIA, is Founder, Chairman and CEO of AVRP Studios, a California-based architectural firm well known for its expertise in the design of affordable housing and the urban environment. Mr. Austin is recognized by his peers as a visionary design leader. Since establishing his firm in 1976, he has led teams in designing projects both domestically and internationally that have been recognized with over 150 awards for design excellence. Doug’s passion for architecture and his mission to make housing available to all, led him to some of the first micro-unit housing during the 80s in trying to make homes naturally more affordable through design as an alternative to unsustainable government subsidies. He challenged the building Industry, who was faced with inclusionary housing issues, to build two projects that ranged in size from 195 SF per unit to 295 SF. The premise was simple “if people can’t afford more there should be a good option to buy or rent less?” In its outside-the-box nature, the firm was recently awarded US and International patents for a new methodology involving prefabricating modules that act as the formwork for Concrete buildings up to 75 stories in height that hold the potential to save significant construction cost and time in the process. Austin serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for YIGBY (Yes in God’s Backyard), which is an organization committed to finding innovative ways to house its poor and homeless. YIGBY is one of many ways that represent AVRP Studios’ commitment to the larger goal of housing for all. Austin served as the Vice chairman of San Diego’s Redevelopment Agency and currently sits on the City’s Planning Commission. Austin received his B’ARCH from Cal Poly SLO, where he is an Honored Alum and serves on the President’s Council of Advisors. His firm sponsors a grant each year for “Housing Innovations”. Austin has furthered his post graduate education studying at the Harvard’s Graduate Center for Design and participating in the exploration of workforce housing at Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing.

  David McCullough

  A graduate of Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, David formed McCullough Landscape Architecture as a sole proprietorship in 1999 while consulting for another firm. After wife and partner, Catherine joined the business in 2001 and became Chief Executive Officer and President in 2002; the firm became a woman-owned corporation and a certified Small Business by the State of California. With offices in San Diego and the Bay Area, McCullough creates spaces for hospitality, retail, mixed-use and institutional properties around the world. As principal landscape architect, David oversees all aspects of the design and production of firm projects at McCullough. He serves as head designer on all projects and maintains quality control on all work completed. Previous projects have earned awards and recognition in several national publications. David finds time in his schedule to take leadership in creative organizations such as the the San Diego Architecture Foundation (SDAF) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) local Urban Design Committee. He currently serves as Chair of the Pecha Kucha Night program, which is on its sixth successful year. He finds it inspiring to take part in such a diverse mix of creative minds while bringing them together to share with the public their wild ideas. In addition, recently David was appointed by San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer to serve on the Historical Resources Board as Chair, which governs the identification, protection, retention and preservation of historical sites in San Diego. Concurrently, he has been invited to serve on the city’s Code Monitoring Team (CMT). David’s design philosophy is centered around merging context and creative passion with grit, soul, and style. The firm takes every project with a uniquely creative approach that centers around diversity, discovery and conservation. David feels it’s important to engage the human spirit with nature, while expressing empathy. Recent projects include a large waterfront development in Shanghai, China, Seaport San Diego redevelopment, several multifamily projects in Calgary and Vancouver, along with other notable hospitality, entertainment, and mixed-use collaborations in the Western US and Canada.

  Timothy Hutter

  Timothy M. Hutter is a partner in our San Diego office, where he practices in the firm's Litigation and Land Use groups. Tim's practice focuses primarily on business and real estate disputes, including contract, construction, joint venture, entitlement, land use and commercial landlord/tenant litigation. Many of his projects and cases involve residential and mixed-use projects, and several invoke California's density bonus law to incorporate and develop affordable housing. Tim also handles cases on appeal, and has successfully represented clients in the California Court of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.
