After a successful start to his career working with other prominent nationwide construction companies, Troy has held a variety of management positions since joining Abbott, ranging from project engineer, project manager, regional director of California, Chief Operating Officer, to his current role.   Over the course of a 30-year career in commercial real estate, Dave Young has used CBRE perspectives, scale and connections to deliver exceptional outcomes, turning his clients’ real estate needs into real advantage. He specializes in office leasing and sales in Washington State, and has provided representation to clients ranging from large, institutional owners and Fortune 100 companies to regional and local partnerships. Dave’s expert proficiency in mitigating risk, negotiating favorable economics and expanding efficiencies in occupancy has made him a trusted advisor to his clients. In addition to his private sector practice, Dave has proven to be an authority in providing and facilitating real estate initiatives and transactions for public institutions in fiscally challenging times. For the past 10 years, Dave was CBRE’s Regional Manager for the National Broker Contract in Region 10 for the Federal Government. During that time, he and the team completed 89 procurements for the General Services Administration, totaling 2.9 million square feet and $500 million in rental consideration. Dave’s public sector work also included the exclusive representation of the King County Hospital District #2. This assignment resulted in 34 leasing and sale transactions for 226,000 square feet and $51.5 million in rental consideration. The Port of Everett, Washington had also retained Dave and his team recently for office leasing and sale assignments in their Port Gardner Wharf development north of Seattle.

  In November 2014 Jon Scholes became President and CEO of DSA following six years as the organization’s Vice President of Advocacy and Economic Development. He believes downtown Seattle is an essential voice of leadership in a rapidly growing and evolving city. Jon’s passion for taking on big issues is reflected in his 15 years of work in nonprofit advocacy, local government, and senior positions on statewide political campaigns. At DSA he leads a diverse team focused on creating a healthy, vibrant and inviting downtown. Jon is a member of the Visit Seattle Board of Directors and the Downtown Transportation Alliance and has served on a number of city and county task forces on transportation, homelessness and housing. He is a Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 award winner and a graduate of Leadership tomorrow. He attended the University of Texas in Austin before graduating from the University of Washington. Jon lives in downtown Seattle with his wife and seven-year-old twins, Parker and Avery. In his spare time Jon sails, skis and rides motorcycles.   T.J. Lehman is Vice President of Development at Mack Urban, managing all facets of a project’s conception and creation. For over a decade, T.J. has coordinated the development of a wide range of real estate projects in major West Coast and Mid-Atlantic markets. T.J.’s projects have included well over 2,500 high-rise, mid-rise, and garden-style apartment homes, supportive housing for seniors, affordable communities and projects with hospitality and retail components. Prior to joining Mack Urban, T.J. was a founding partner of Euclid Development which worked on a number of market-rate and affordable projects in the Seattle area. Preceding his work at Euclid, T.J. was a partner with Holland Development, managing high-rise projects in Seattle and Los Angeles, including the 220-unit M Street and significant portions of Holland’s 8-acre, mixed-use, mixed-income neighborhood in Central City West in downtown Los Angeles. Before joining Holland, T.J. structured low-income-housing tax credit communities with The Shelter Group, a Baltimore-based developer that builds communities for a wide range of incomes and needs. He also worked in public finance with Baltimore Mayor Martin O’Malley’s administration. Originally from Georgia, T.J. graduated from Duke University with a degree in economics and a Master’s in Community Planning from the University of Maryland. He lives in the Seattle neighborhood of Wallingford with his family.

  Lindsey Pflugrath

  Lindsey has devoted her career to understanding the risks faced by design and construction professionals. Her clients include owners, owner’s representatives, international multi-disciplinary design firms, as well as local engineering and architecture firms. Lindsey takes great pride in offering an integrated suite of services to her clients, providing advice on risk management, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, as well as defending her clients from claims. Lindsey has represented design and construction professionals in all manner of civil litigation at both the federal and state court levels, including defending her clients from claims involving allegations of defects, cost overruns or schedule overruns on construction projects ranging from residential to commercial to infrastructure; as well as claims of personal injury or wrongful death against construction and/or design professionals occurring on construction projects or allegedly related to design/construction safety issues on completed projects. Lindsey’s clients benefit from her litigation insight. In addition to her litigation practice, Lindsey counsels her clients in prudent contracting practices, careful client selection, collection strategies, partnering agreements and many other aspects of their daily work. She works with her clients throughout the life of their projects to ensure careful risk management, and is often called upon to assist with conflict resolution between project participants. Her work with design and construction professionals has enriched Lindsey’s life beyond her professional endeavors. Lindsey is passionate about innovation within the industry, and particularly the use of alternative delivery and teaming agreements to improve the processes, efficiency and quality of the work her clients do. She is a frequent presenter to industry organizations and professionals. Additionally, she takes an active interest in mentoring and supporting both the construction and legal professions through her volunteer work.   Mr. Guincher is the president of Continental Properties LLC (“CP”), with over thirty years of experience in the real estate industry, and has directed the development of over 3,800 multifamily units over the past twenty-five years in the Puget Sound region.   Roger Heeringa

  Roger Heeringa’s skill and passion for the structural engineering profession is evident in some of the most prominent buildings in the country. From the W Hotel in Hollywood and the 63 story Independent Tower in Austin to the recently completed 929 Office Tower in Bellevue, his expertise is apparent is all building types. After having earned a B.S. and M.S. from Washington State University, Heeringa started working for the then start-up firm, DCI Engineers in 1989. After 28 years, Heeringa’s career has seen him advance from a Project Engineer to becoming the President and COO at DCI. His experience in the design of economic structures has earned him many loyal, repeat clients among contractors, architects, and developers. Heeringa’s dedication to the overall development of a community is evident in his interest and participation in several committees dedicated to providing insight and a globally progressive engineering community. As a member of ASCE, SEAW, The Masonry Society, and The Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat, Heeringa remains committed to national growth and industry advancement. His dedication to the community extends beyond his role at DCI, serving as a board member for the Seattle-based non-profit Childhaven. During his time away from work he enjoys spending time with his family and you can often find him swinging a golf club or backpacking with his two sons.
