  Carol Nelson is a Division President and leads the Mountain Region’s operations team. She has over 28 years of experience in the multi-family industry with a focus on Class A lease ups, value add rehab, and stabilized communities ranging all asset classes. Carol is involved in building strong and strategic client relationships and business development. Previously, Carol was the COO for Redstone Residential, Managing Director for Greystar, and Senior VP for Alliance Residential where she was involved in strategic growth planning and development. At Asset Living, her goal is to provide excellent customer service and build “best in class” teams. ‍ Carol is a Certified Property Manager (CPM), licensed Broker in Utah, and graduate of Brigham Young University, where she majored in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing. When Carol is not in the office, she can be found in the mountains with her husband, four children, and two dogs boating, riding ATVs, hiking, or skiing.

With her CAPS designation from the National Apartment Association and 17 years of industry experience, Krista blends financial acumen with a people-first leadership style. She has a proven track record in driving operational excellence, building high-performing teams, and developing cost-effective strategies that enhance resident satisfaction and asset performance.   Jason Algaze

  Jason Algaze is an 18-year veteran in the real estate investment and development industry, known for his unique blend of creativity, passion for building, and financial expertise. His extensive experience enables him to execute successful and profitable projects with a distinctive vision. Jason's multi-faceted development background allows him to select the right people and companies for each project, bringing out the best in every team member. His expertise spans the entire development process, including creating assemblages for acquisitions, investment analysis and deal structuring, understanding local zoning and entitlements processes, fostering public-private relationships with municipalities, developing innovative project design concepts, and assembling elite design, consultant, and construction teams for execution. In 2019, Jason founded Abstract Development Group as the new development affiliate backed by Bronstein Properties, a 50-year-old New York-based real estate family office. Shortly after, he expanded into the Salt Lake City real estate market, recognizing its tremendous growth potential. This led to a primary focus on the area and the development of local relationships throughout Utah over the past several years. Currently, Abstract Development has three projects in various phases of development: One Burton in South Salt Lake, 1345 South Jefferson in the Ballpark District, and another new South Salt Lake site in planning. One Burton is a recently completed 180-unit multifamily building with 220 parking spaces and 8,000 square feet of retail space in the heart of South Salt Lake's emerging downtown district. The project aims to elevate design standards in the market, showcased by its ultra mid-century modern architecture and interior design. Jason and his team at Abstract Development Group are committed to further expanding their footprint in Salt Lake and Utah, with a goal of building around 1,500 units over the next few years. Earlier in his career, Jason worked for a prominent New York and Miami-based development firm on over $10 billion in new projects, comprising over 8 million square feet and more than 8,000 residential units. These included notable developments such as a 1,400-foot tower with 44 ultra-luxury residences overlooking Central Park, New York City; a 45-story tower with 400 multifamily units in Long Island City, Queens, New York; a 45-unit boutique condominium and townhome building in SoHo, New York; and various luxury condominiums and rental buildings throughout the greater Miami and South Florida areas. He also has had experience with a real estate private equity firm focused on distressed investment opportunities and started his career in large loan real estate finance at Credit Suisse that covered a wide range of asset types throughout the country and select transactions abroad. Jason is a graduate of the University of Miami and holds an MA in real estate finance and development from New York University.

  Rebecca brings to her work a commitment to design excellence in connecting the interior and exterior experience. Her strength lies in her passion and ability to develop projects that are both functional and beautiful. Rebecca’s meticulous attention to detail enhances her designs through a process that translates the aspirations of the client and KPF’s values into the built environment. She celebrates the collaborative relationships created throughout the process, from conception to construction, revealing well- crafted and creative solutions. Demonstrating this approach at a range of scales, Rebecca has been integral in the success of one of KPF’s smallest projects, the boutique luxury residential condominium 500 W 21 st St, as well as the firm’s largest infrastructure project, Changi Airport Terminal 5. Overseeing KPF’s residential and hotel planning projects, Rebecca brings more than a two-decade history of work in the US, Asia, and Europe, and the accompanying sensitivities of their specific geographic location and the international trends that transform neighborhoods. In London, a city less known for high-rise residential living, she led the planning of the 500-unit 40 Charter Street. She applied lessons from her extensive luxury residential planning in New York City to create a new form of neighborhood with a range of unit types and robust indoor and outdoor amenities within a single building in London. In Beijing, she led WF Central, a luxury retail and hospitality destination adjacent to the Forbidden City. Modern in its offering and experience, the project is sensitive to the traditional and historical neighborhood in which it stands. Rebecca has served as a part-time faculty member at Parsons School of Design; a guest critic at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation and NYIT’s School of Architecture and Design; and a lecturer at Yale School of Architecture. Rebecca is a former term member of The Council of Foreign Relations. She is a registered architect in the State of New York.

  Rawley Nielse

  Rawley Nielsen is managing director of Multifamily Investment Sales in Northmarq’s Salt Lake City office. He co-leads a team responsible for multifamily advisory client coverage throughout Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Rawley has 21 years of commercial real estate experience, the majority of which has been representing private capital and institutional clients in multifamily investment sales. Throughout his career, he has completed over $3 billion of capital markets transactions in the Salt Lake City metropolitan region and the Western United States. Rawley joined Northmarq in 2024, after serving as the president of investment sales for eight years at Colliers International in Salt Lake City. In this capacity, he led one of the top-producing investment sales teams at Colliers, consistently completing the majority of brokered apartment transactions in Utah over the last five years. Rawley is a graduate of the accounting program at Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business. He is actively involved in ULI, CCIM and NAIOP, and resides in Holladay, Utah, with his wife and their three children.

  Eli Mills has been a part of the Utah commercial real estate landscape for over 30 years. He has completed more than 400 transactions valued at over $4.5 billion. Eli has represented and advised many of the largest real estate investors in the United States introducing many institutional and private investors to the Utah marketplace. He was a founding member of NAI Utah Commercial Real Estate Inc. (now Newmark Grubb Acres) and was on the leadership board of NAI’s Global Investment Council. Subsequently, he spent thirteen years at CBRE spearheading the number one multifamily and office investment sales teams in Utah. Eli has raised capital and sold many of the largest commercial projects in Utah. He was on the national CBRE institutional office and multifamily teams and is a popular speaker and respectable thought leader on capital markets and the Utah real estate market. He has established a reputation as a data driven and detail oriented professional with great integrity. In 2022 he joined Gardner and leads the company’s relationships with the investment community and oversees the investment process and evaluation of all projects. He is married and has 8 children and one grandchild.

  Victoria Petro’s journey to public service is rooted in her deep love for Salt Lake City’s Westside and her commitment to creating a brighter future for District 1. First appointed to the Salt Lake City Council in November 2021, she quickly earned the trust of District 1 voters, who elected her to a full four-year term starting Jan. 3, 2022. Her colleagues recognized her leadership abilities, electing her as Council Vice Chair in 2023 and Council Chair in 2024. Victoria also represents the city on the Utah Fairpark Area Investment and Restoration District Board, Utah Inland Port Authority Board and Salt Lake City Airport Board, advocating for equitable, community-centered development. District 1 neighborhoods include Rose Park, Jordan Meadows, Westpointe, and a portion of Fairpark. Victoria is proud to represent this vibrant and diverse community, rich in culture and opportunity. For nearly a decade, she has called District 1 home, raising her four children in the neighborhood. Victoria earned a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from East Carolina University, a master’s in musicology from Brandeis University, a master’s in international studies from North Carolina State University and a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University. Her career has spanned nonprofit leadership and consulting, with a focus on creating actionable strategies to improve inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility across various settings. As Executive Director of Salty Cricket, a nonprofit dedicated to building community through music, Victoria encouraged sustainable, strategic development for young and diverse communities. She also served on Salt Lake City’s Historic Landmark Commission and on the boards of Utahns for Culture and the Utah Cultural Alliance. Her contributions to the community were recognized in 2019 when she received the Salt Lake City Deedee Corradini Emerging Leader Award and in 2024 when she received Utah Women Run’s Martha Hughes Cannon Award for Outstanding Impact in Local Government. Victoria works closely with neighbors and community councils across District 1 and neighboring District 2 to amplify Westside perspectives. Her goal is to create unity, sustainable growth, and greater equity for the communities she loves and calls home. When she’s not working on Council priorities, Victoria enjoys spending time with her family and contributing to the artistic and cultural vibrancy of the Westside.

  Zach Clegg is a Vice President at Lincoln Property Company, where he leads development, acquisition, and asset management efforts across the Mountain West region, including Utah, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. He is a senior member of the development team for The Point, a landmark public-private partnership with the State of Utah that will redevelop the former state prison site in Draper, Utah into a dynamic, mixed-use community. Phase one of the Point’s master plan encompasses more than 6.5 million square feet of high-density residential, retail, entertainment, office, and commercial space—including a 5,000-seat concert and event venue. Zach holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University and earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to joining Lincoln, he served as Vice President at Dakota Pacific Real Estate, where he oversaw the acquisition, entitlement, and development of major residential and mixed-use projects.

  Joe McClyde

  Joe McClyde brings over 18 years of professional experience in urban design and planning, with a focus on urban infill, retail and complex mixed-use districts, transit-oriented development (TOD), and larger master planning projects throughout the United States and abroad. As a Senior Planner and Associate Partner at MVE + Partners, Joe provides strategic design leadership within interdisciplinary teams, offering creative and context-sensitive solutions. The integration of high-quality architectural design with a strong public realm and open space framework is paramount, ensuring placemaking and identity are foundational components of every project. Joe is a strong advocate for the cultural and spatial uniqueness of cities, with a belief that thoughtful, place-driven design results in environments that are both resilient and enduring. In Utah, he has led the planning and design of numerous TOD and urban infill projects, many of which directly connect to existing or planned transit stations and bicycle infrastructure. These projects leverage multimodal connectivity to enhance the livability, sustainability, and long-term value of new housing. Notable among these is Silo Park, a transformative redevelopment in Salt Lake City’s Granary District celebrating the site’s industrial heritage. Currently under construction, directly west of MVE’s Post District project, Silo Park includes 741 new market-rate residential units, 200 attainable micro-units, 58,750 square feet of retail, and a new signature public space framed by the historic grain silos.
