  Mike joined the Salt Lake City Department of Airport (SLCDA) Airport Redevelopment Program (ARP) as the Program Director in November 2012 and has been dedicated to the program full time since July 2013. Prior to the ARP, Mike served as the Project Executive on the $1.4 billion Maynard Holbrook Jackson, Jr. International Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and as Delta Air Lines’ Project Executive on the $508 million Terminal ‘A’ Redevelopment at Boston Logan International Airport. Mike has 40 years of experience in the field of project management. He is currently President of Making Projects Work, Inc., a project management consulting firm that he formed in 1997. Mike’s passion is delivering complex capital improvement programs and he is enjoying working with SLCDA on the daily challenges presented by the ARP.

  Darin Mano

  Darin was appointed by the Salt Lake City Council on January 21, 2020 to serve as the District Five Council Member, replacing Mayor Erin Mendenhall. He was later elected by District Five voters to serve a full term beginning in January 2022. Darin was elected by his Council peers to serve as Council Vice Chair in 2022 and Council Chair in 2023. He is currently serving as the 2024 Redevelopment Agency (RDA) Board Vice Chair.  Darin was raised in Sandy, Utah and is the sixth of seven children. He lives in the Ballpark Neighborhood with his husband Kevin and their four kids. He is a practicing architect, small business owner, and urban design enthusiast. Darin is fascinated by buildings, transportation, architecture, urban spaces, and the built environment. He loves to travel and experience new cities, spaces, foods, and cultures.  Darin is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Utah. He also had the opportunity to teach Architecture and Urban Design for six years at the U of U. Darin served on the Ballpark Community Council Board, Redevelopment Advisory Committee, and the Salt Lake City Planning Commission. He also participated in multiple design review and selection committees for RDA projects.    Darin speaks Japanese and loves staying involved with the strong Asian American Community here in Utah. Though his career centers around the built environment, he loves getting outside and spending time in nature. Darin is often found spending time with his husband, kids, family, friends, or dog.

  As the General Manager for Mortenson’s Salt Lake City office, Sarah Narjes is responsible for the continued expansion of Mortenson’s presence in Utah and oversees key active development and investment projects. Narjes has successfully led a variety of complex high-profile projects since joining Mortenson in 2007. With her customer-centric and charismatic leadership style, Sarah transitioned to Mortenson’s Sports + Entertainment Group in 2014, serving in a variety of leadership roles for iconic sports stadiums including the Truist Park (Atlanta Braves) in Atlanta, Georgia and the Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas Raiders) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She holds a BFA in Visual Communication with an emphasis in Design and Marketing and is a Certified LEED Green Associate. Throughout her roles in design, advertising, marketing, program management, and business leadership, her passion has been helping clients achieve their business objectives through creative storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and innovative communication strategies. As the Director of Client Success for NINE dot ARTS, Andrea focuses on strengthening client relationships while helping partners achieve maximum value and engagement through their curated art programs and creative placemaking efforts. She is especially focused on helping clients leverage opportunities for positive social impact and meaningful contributions to the creative economy.

He has been honored with several awards from his real estate peers, is a leader in the community, and has served as President of the Utah chapters of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CCIM) and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).   Nick Gonzalves

  Nick serves as Managing Director – Head of Western US of Bridge Development Fund Manager, where he leads the acquisition, development, and asset management of Bridge’s Opportunity Zone portfolio throughout the Western United States. Nick has over a decade of experience in commercial real estate across all major asset types. He has completed over $7.0 billion of investment transactions totaling more than 12,000 multifamily units and 8.0 million commercial square feet. Nick is one of the original team members of Bridge’s Opportunity Zone Strategy in 2019 and has played an integral role in building the fund platform to the largest of its kind in the country. In 2021, Nick was awarded Business Insider’s 30 Under 35 Rising Stars of Real Estate national designation. Nick joined Bridge from Clarion Partners in Los Angeles where he worked on the acquisition of office, industrial, multifamily, and retail investments in the San Francisco Bay Area, Orange County, San Diego, Denver, and Phoenix regions. Prior to Clarion, Nick worked in acquisitions, asset management, and dispositions for Bridge Investment Group’s multifamily value-add and office funds. Nick received his Bachelor of Science in Facility & Property Management from Brigham Young University where he also served as the mascot of the university for four years.

  Eric Peterson

  Eric Peterson joined The Athens Group in 2021 as a Vice President of Development with a focus on the company’s development efforts through the Intermountain West. He began his career in public accounting and has spent more than thirteen years in development throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Eric has been involved in the full project lifecycle in a wide range of asset classes and has successfully completed high-profile work in some of the most challenging resort markets including Aspen, Colorado; Park City, Utah; and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He received his BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University – Idaho, and an MBA from the Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Eric lives with his wife and three kids in Phoenix, Arizona.

  Bryan Hill

  Bryan Hill is the general manager of The Gateway, a premier lifestyle destination in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. He first gained experience in the shopping center management industry in 2002 in his role as Marketing assistant for The Factory Stores at Park City where he promoted the center leading up to and during the 2002 Winter Olympics. In 2007, Bryan became the assistant general manager of The Gateway. In conjunction with this position, he also focused on specialty leasing. In August 2012, he was promoted to general manager of The Gateway. Bryan has extensive knowledge of shopping center operations, management, marketing, and specialty leasing. Since 2016, Bryan has been working with Vestar, the Phoenix-based owner of The Gateway, on the destination’s $100-million-dollar redevelopment which included comprehensive upgrades coupled with reimagining and rebranding efforts. Under his leadership, The Gateway has become a thriving district for retail, dining, entertainment, business, arts, and culture with a full calendar of community- driven events. It has also evolved into a vibrant campus for some of Utah’s most innovative life sciences companies. Bryan received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Utah State University. During the past two years, Bryan has served as Chair of the Downtown Salt Lake Community Council. He is also a board member of Salt Lake Area Restaurant Association and a member of the Downtown Development Committee and Visit Salt Lake.

  Michael King started his career with Cushman & Wakefield in 2017 and is currently working as a Director on Kip Paul’s prolific Investment Sales team. Over the course of his career, Michael has served in multiple roles and service lines including property management, brokerage support, and most recently, Senior Analyst for the Utah Research Department. Over the course of his career, Michael has transacted alongside Kip on projects totaling over $1.2 billion.
