  Burke Fathy

  Mr. Fathy is a Managing Partner of Sutter Capital Group and Director of Capital Markets. Burke joined the firm in 2011 to help grow the firm’s investment management business and leads the direction and execution of Sutter’s investment activity. Prior to joining the Sutter Capital Group, Mr. Fathy was a Fund Manager in Aviva Investors’ Global Real Estate Multi-Manager Group in New York and London. While at Aviva, Burke’s responsibilities included investment analysis and execution, asset management and ultimately responsibility for portfolio construction and management of an $850 million discretionary global separate account, the Group’s largest client. During his tenor at Aviva Investors and its predecessor firm Madison Harbor Capital, Burke sourced, underwrote and closed $180 million of invested capital spanning a wide range of property types and investment strategies. Prior to joining Aviva Investors Burke was an Associate in the Capital Markets Group of GVA Williams in New York where he was responsible for transactional due diligence and valuation of commercial property dispositions in excess of $500 million. Burke holds a an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a B.A. in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California, San Diego.

  As President and COO, Edward M. Kobel leads DeBartolo Development’s investment strategy, execution and capitalization. Backed by the DeBartolo family and major capital commitments he secured, DeBartolo Development has underwritten a real estate pipeline of over $4.6 billion since 2003. Prior to overseeing DeBartolo Development, Ed was a partner at Fortis Advisors in Scottsdale, an affiliate company of DeBartolo Property Group, where he managed more than $600 million in real estate projects. Before joining Fortis, he founded Trinity Development with offices in Colorado Springs, Denver, Phoenix and Chicago. Trinity Development was primarily engaged in new retail development as well as value-added shopping center renovation and completed over $300 million in retail development. Throughout his professional career, Ed has devoted his time and leadership to multiple non-profit organizations and was awarded the Outstanding Professional and Community Citizenship award from Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio.

  John Vignocchi grew up in Santa Barbara, CA and graduated cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Business Administration and Minor in Economics. After graduation he moved to San Francisco with his wife Kaitlyn, and in 2019 he moved to Sacramento, Kaitlyn’s hometown, where he founded Urban Capital. John began his career as an analyst in Piper Jaffray’s Technology & Clean Tech investment banking team. In 2011 he joined SunEdison and was promoted to be the CFO for their North American Utility and Distributed Generation business unit where John helped manage a $2 billion solar development portfolio. Prior to founding Urban Capital, John worked for Tom Siebel at C3.ai (NYSE: AI) where he sold enterprise AI and machine learning software applications to Energy and Manufacturing companies.

  Jason Klier is Senior Vice President of Leasing & Acquisitions at LDK Ventures, LLC, with a focus on new leasing and acquisitions in the Western Region of the US. Before joining LDK Ventures, LLC, Mr. Klier was the Vice President of Portfolio Management at Buzz Oates in Sacramento. Mr. Klier was responsible for the acquisition, development, asset management, leasing and disposition of industrial properties throughout California, Idaho, Nevada, Texas and Arizona. In this capacity, Mr. Klier was able to work with Fortune 500 companies on industrial real estate requirements throughout the western half of the US. Prior to working for Buzz Oates, Mr. Klier focused on retail assets, working with Hutensky Capital Partners and Phillips Edison & Company (“PECO”) in several capacities, including acquisitions, portfolio management and dispositions. Mr. Klier started his career in Sacramento with Palmer Capital Inc., a leading independent real estate capital markets firm. During his career at Palmer Capital Inc., Mr. Klier worked with a team on over $3 billion in transactions in all Western Markets Mr. Klier received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California at Davis.

  John Hodgson

  The Hodgson Company is a Sacramento based real estate development, land use and government advocacy firm which specializes in the entitlement and development of real estate and land use projects throughout Northern California. The Hodgson Company has been involved in some of the area’s most innovative residential and commercial developments, including master planned communities, infill development and mixed-use projects. More recently their focus has been on revitalization and mixed used development in the urban centers of the region. John Hodgson is active in both civic and volunteer organizations. He is a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and past Chair of the ULI Sacramento District Council. He was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson and served six years as the Chair of the Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA). In his capacity as CADA chair he is credited with contributing to the revitalization of midtown Sacramento. John currently serves as a Board member of the Downtown Sacramento Partnership and serves on its Governance Committee. He also serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the Midtown Association. He served several terms as Chair of the Sacramento Council of the North State Building Industry Association and currently serves as Chair of its Urban Infill Group focused on Sacramento downtown and midtown mixed-use development. John is a member of the State Bar of California. He is a graduate of UC Davis and King Hall (UC Davis School of Law).
