  McLean Quinn is President of EYA, LLC. He oversees corporate management and strategy, investor relations, acquisition and development strategy and project stewardship, and chairs the Partnership Committee. Before being named President in February 2019, McLean served as Vice President of Acquisition and Development, leading acquisition, negotiations, entitlement, underwriting and project stewardship for numerous projects at EYA. McLean is active in ULI and is past participant in the ULI Washington Regional Land Use Leadership Institute and Leadership Montgomery. Before joining EYA, McLean evaluated opportunistic real estate investments for Morgan Stanley's Real Estate Fund (MSREF) in New York and worked in private equity and investment banking at Wells Fargo in Charlotte, North Carolina. He earned a BA in Political Science from Davidson College and an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management, where he was an Austin Scholar. McLean lives in Washington D.C. with his wife and two children.

  Michelle Giannini

  As the Principal Broker & Executive Vice President of Hoffman Realty, Michelle has more than two decades of experience in the real estate industry, including practicing real estate transactional law. Throughout her career, she has been involved in every aspect of the sales process—from direct client sales to division management—and has directed and managed the successful release and sell-out of over 15 new condominium buildings across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. As Executive Vice President of Multifamily and Brand for Hoffman & Associates, Michelle leads the development and implementation of the marketing and branding for each condominium and apartment property, as well as managing leasing efforts for Hoffman’s apartment residences. Michelle graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles; earned a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law; and is a licensed broker in D.C. and Maryland. As a D.C. resident for over two decades, Michelle is widely known among friends and clients as the go-to person for local recommendations, from the best French café in town to the perfect place to find a unique gift. Beyond her local expertise, Michelle is passionate about affordable housing and has taught classes on the subject in addition to volunteering at Calvary Women’s Services, a local nonprofit founded to empower homeless women to change their lives through housing, education, and employment programs.

  Mitchell Crispell

  Mitchell Crispell joined True Ground Housing Partners in 2020 as a Senior Project Manager and was promoted to Director of Real Estate Development in 2022. Mr. Crispell oversees one third of True Ground’s development portfolio, including current and pipeline projects. He supports project managers, evaluates properties for future development opportunities, and co-leads the real estate development team. Mr. Crispell is contributing to True Ground’s regional expansion with projects in the District of Columbia, and Fairfax, Loudoun, and Arlington counties. He oversees True Ground’s first project in the District, Riggs Crossing Senior Residences, a 93- unit development for seniors near the Fort Totten metro station. The project, in partnership with EYA, will include a commercial retail space and several amenity spaces for residents. Mr. Crispell is responsible for The Exchange at Spring Hill Station project, the largest fully committed affordable housing community in Tysons and True Ground’s largest to date, which will consist of more than 500 units. His portfolio also includes two senior projects in Fairfax County: the 150-unit Oakwood Meadow project and the 80-unit Ilda’s Overlook. Both communities welcomed residents in 2023. He supported the close-out of True Ground’s first project in Loudoun County, Loudoun View Senior Residences, as well as the acquisition of land in Loudoun that will support two phases of development—a 130-unit senior project and 147-unit multifamily project.

  Greg is managing partner of the firm's Tysons Corner office and practices commercial real estate law with a concentration in land use, zoning and redevelopment matters. He began his real estate career as a professional urban planner. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, he worked extensively in the public and private sectors. Collectively he has more than 25 years experience in the real estate development industry. He has substantial experience representing major land developers, owners, companies, institutions, lenders and landlords. He works closely with clients to conduct feasibility analysis, analyze applicable development requirements, prepare necessary development-related applications, and present such proposals in meetings and public hearings before decision-making boards and commissions. He has extensive contacts with local government officials, as well as influential community and civic groups, and is able to anticipate, identify and creatively address issues related to the acquisition, development and disposition of real property. He provides clients with the analysis and advice necessary to complete all legislative and administrative approvals associated with the land development processes. His skill in drafting, negotiating and reviewing development agreements, proffers, zoning opinions and easements enables clients to complete the required processes with minimized and accurately qualified risk. The types of developments he has facilitated include office and industrial parks, shopping centers, regional shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, residential subdivisions, master planned communities, and elderly housing uses. He routinely handles the proceedings for necessary rezonings, special exceptions, special permits, variances, Comprehensive Plan Amendments, appeals and Zoning Ordinance Amendments before numerous local government authorities in Northern Virginia and the Metropolitan Washington, D.C., area. Much of Greg's work and accomplishments are closely tied to the region's existing and expanding rail transit corridors. He is particularly well versed in the planning, economic and design considerations that are unique to real estate development in transit oriented areas. In addition to representing owner and developers, he has been appointed by local governments to serve as an industry representative on many of the Task Forces and Work Groups charged with redrafting the governing planning and zoning regulations to recognize the opportunities associated with well planned and economically viable transit oriented development.

  John Clarkson is a Senior Managing Director for Greystar Real Estate Partners, where he oversees all conventional, student, and active adult housing development activity in the Mid-Atlantic Division, which includes Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Before joining Greystar in 2019, John was a Senior Vice President with JBG Smith Properties, where he led mixed-use development projects within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. John began his career as an Analyst with the JBG Companies. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Product Council and the National Multifamily Housing Council. He previously served as the President of the DC Real Estate Group. John received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish from Vanderbilt University and his master’s degree in business administration from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

  Mae Klinger is a Partner at Insight Property Group, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the asset management function for the company, which provides strategic leadership to create and sustain value for the company’s portfolio. Mae is also responsible for implementing property specific business plans across Insight’s portfolio. Prior to Insight Property Group, Mae held executive asset management roles at Redbrick LMD, LLC and AvalonBay Communities. At Redbrick she led the development of the asset management function and operations for the company and maximized the performance and value of the company’s multifamily portfolio in the Washington, DC MSA. At AvalonBay, Mae was Director of Redevelopment & Asset Management and led the effort to expand and enhance the company’s asset management operations in response to portfolio growth and changing business needs including repositioning and redevelopment asset plans. Mae also previously held asset management roles with Federal Capital Partners and the Carlyle Group. With Federal Capital Partners, she developed and implemented value-add business plans for assets worth over $800 million located in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the U.S. With the Carlyle Group’s U.S. Real Estate Group, Mae managed and enhanced the value of a portfolio of assets worth over $900 million located in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast regions of the U.S. Mae was recognized as one of the top 21 in ’21 Women in Multi-Family Investing by Kayo Conference Series. Mae earned an AB cum laude in Social Studies from Harvard College.

  Joe Muffler serves as Senior Managing Director of Development for Mill Creek Residential, Mid-Atlantic. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the development process, including site acquisition, design, entitlements, financing, and eventual disposition for Mill Creek Mid-Atlantic communities. Mr. Muffler joined Mill Creek as an Associate in 2013, and prior to his role in Development, was responsible for developing company-wide research, portfolio allocation, and investor relation strategies. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Muffler served as Director of Operations for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast divisions of Bisnow Media, Inc. He began his career at Jones Lang LaSalle, as an Analyst on the Washington, D.C. Investment Sales team, participating in approximately $1.0 billion in asset transactions. Mr. Muffler graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature.

  Nick Cumings joined the firm in 2017 and works in the Land Use and Zoning practice group in the Arlington office. He primarily focuses on securing zoning and land use entitlements, including rezonings, special permits, and special exceptions. Before joining the firm, Nick practiced for several years as an associate with the law firm of BrigliaHundley, P.C., where he focused on real estate litigation, title issues, local government, and financial services litigation. Nick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary in 2008 and graduated from William and Mary Law School in 2011, where he was a member of the William and Mary Law Review. After Nick graduated from law school, he clerked for the honorable Michael F. Devine of the Fairfax Circuit Court.
