  Michael Hackman

  Michael Hackman is the Chief Executive Officer of Hackman Capital Partners, which he founded in 1986. Under his leadership, the company has become a global real estate presence, having invested in properties representing more than $10 Billion in capitalization and approximately 37 million square feet.* As the world’s largest owner and operator of independent film and television studios, the company has a portfolio of 19 studio campuses, with 145 active sound stages across North America, the UK and Ireland. The company also owns mixed-use, creative office, life-sciences, and industrial properties and has managed more than 500 tenants worldwide, including Amazon Studios, Apple, HBO, CBS, ABC, Columbia Pictures and Warner Brothers. Michael began his 47-year real estate career in Southern California and spent seven years as an industrial broker at both Majestic Realty and CBRE before launching Hackman Capital Partners. He has directly spearheaded hundreds of complex transactions and liquidations across four continents, laying the foundation for the platform's global expansion. Michael commits both time and resources to many philanthropic causes. In 2020, he was pivotal in the development of the Changing Lenses initiative, which promotes diversity and inclusion in the film industry through job training, mentorships, and financial assistance. Michael also previously served as a Trustee for The Winward School in Los Angeles and Willows School in Culver City. He currently serves as board member of St. John’s Hospital and is a member of the Executive Board of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles.

  Worthe is the president of Worthe Real Estate Group, a Santa Monica-based firm that specializes in the development and refurbishment of Class A office properties in Los Angeles. Recent projects include Second Century, an 800,000-square-foot office development designed by Frank Gehry that is leased to Warner Bros., The Post in Beverly Hills, leased to Live Nation, and the Mission Logistics Project, a 1 million-square-foot industrial development. The firm has over 7 million square feet of properties in Los Angeles. Jeffrey Worthe was appointed to the CPPA Board by Governor Gavin Newsom in August 2023. Worthe is a member and past chair of the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Board of Directors. He is a trustee of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation, a founding member of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate Board, and a member of the LA Sports & Entertainment Commission Core Leadership Group. He is a dedicated leader and advisor and holds a B.A. in Economics from UCSB.

  Mr. Darian is an Executive, Producer and Businessman in the Entertainment Industry who has owned and operated several companies, and who has served in many senior management positions for publicly-traded and privately-held companies, alike. As Chairman & CEO of Occidental Entertainment Group Holdings, Inc., Mr. Darian currently presides over six operating divisions, which includes — Occidental Studios, Occidental Lighting & Grip, Occidental Technologies, Albert Sweet Development, Prop Services West, and Tricor Entertainment. Its assets & operations include eleven sound stages and roughly three dozen office buildings comprised of over a million square feet of production, editorial, and creative office space. Through its non-entertainment operations, Occidental Entertainment Group owns properties throughout the Country.   Stefanie Bourne joined Hudson Pacific in 2021 and serves as Executive Vice President, Studios. She is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive growth, optimize business performance, and achieve other organizational goals for Sunset Studios and Quixote. Prior to Hudson Pacific, Bourne worked at The Walt Disney Company, most recently as Director, Global Development – Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. Before that, she held real estate investing roles at Colony Capital and CIM Group. Bourne earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Southern California.

  Shep is responsible for leading East End’s West Coast operations and its production studio platform. In his role as Managing Partner, he sources value-add office and residential opportunities in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Seattle markets, as well as studio opportunities throughout North America and Europe.Before joining East End, Shep was a Senior Vice President at KBS where he oversaw and directed the origination, underwriting financing and closing activities for acquisitions and joint venture opportunities. Prior to KBS, he spent seven years as Managing Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Savanna, where he oversaw a team of asset managers and ran the daily operations for a 3 million square foot portfolio. In 1995, Shep co-founded Cosi, Inc. and developed the chain into a nationally recognized brand with over 100 restaurants in 11 states. His primary responsibility was overseeing real estate development and leasing for the business. After taking the brand public in 2002, Shep left the company to focus on development projects in New York City. He graduated cum laude from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York

  Shawn Papazian

  Shawn Papazian recently partnered with Knickpoint Ventures to form Knickpoint Studios and will oversee all their studio related endeavors. He has been involved with the design, development, operations and management of Motion Picture and TV Studio facilities for 25 yrs. Prior to joining Knickpoint, Mr Papazian co-developed and was President & COO of Crimson Studios Group. CSG owned and operated two independent studios in Los Angeles and had LBA Realty’s Studio 1 under management. He also co-designed and created the business plan for Studio1 located at One Culver, which is currently the home base for Apple Content and other major media tenants. In 2021, Mr Papazian was instrumental in bringing both Crimson Studios and Valencia Studios to an off-market deal to LPC West and GEM Realty Capital. Mr Papazian got his early start in the studio business at 20th Century Fox TV to run Ray Art Studios and soon after became Ray Art’s Vice President & GM until it was sold to Archstone Realty. He moved on to Sunset Gower Studios, where he was instrumental with GI Partners in executing the development and leasing strategies for the Technicolor HQ building as well as the executive oversight of the day-to-day activities and redevelopment of the studio lot. Upon SGS’s sale to HPP, Mr Papazian became the Vice President of the historic Culver Studios Lot owned by Lehman Brothers which was eventually acquired by Hackman Capital Partners. While at Culver Studios, he spearheaded and supervised the entitlements on the lot which has now been developed into the Amazon Studios HQ. Mr Papazian is also an accomplished Emmy-nominated Producer and who has had a multi picture Producing deal with Warner Bros and Raw Feed in his past. In addition, he developed and produced the feature films Under the Bed 1 & 2 with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and Ted Field’s Radar Pictures which were bought by A+E Studios. Mr Papazian is a graduate of LMU’s School of Film and Television and is a member of the PGA, DGA, and WGA. He is an avid foodie and is a minority investor in Ospi Venice.

  Tima Bell

  Tima Bell, Founding Principal of Bell Design Group, brings extensive experience and leadership to the studio. Born in NYC and raised in both Venice Beach and Peaks Island, Maine, Tima’s artistic passion led him to architecture, exploring three-dimensional space through his paintings, but now does primarily watercolors. He studied at Rice University and the Southern California Institute for Architecture. In addition to his American studies, Tima spent considerable time studying throughout Europe. He also completed a one-year artist-in-residency in Israel. Through Bell Design Group, Tima continues to explore the intersection of art and architecture through his work, designing across widely varying typologies ranging from studios and tech, to residential, hospitality, housing, commercial, civic, and institutional spaces. Tima was an adjunct professor at Woodbury University and acts as a guest juror for universities and awards. He is an AIA Associate and has received an AIA scholarship as well as two AIA Hospitality Design awards. Additionally, he is the recipient of both the Individual Boutique 18 Design Award and the Boutique 18 Design Restaurant Award. Tima has been a speaker on numerous industry panels and podcasts, as well as featured in several publications. He currently serves as Secretary on the Venice Neighborhood Council Board of Officers.
