  Andrew Krenning is the associate managing director of the Boston office. He oversees local employees, monitors the office’s financial performance, and spearheads business development. Before joining Syska, Krenning spent 15 years at Siemens Industry, Inc., rising from the position of design engineer to solutions sales manager – construction. In the latter position he led a team of construction sales professionals, estimators, business development executives, and pre-construction project experts for the Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island market. A resident of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Mr. Krenning earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University.   Gene Hartigan is the Founder and Chairman for AfriMed Network, Inc., A Massachusetts- registered charity certified by the U. S. Treasury as a 501C3 nonprofit, established in 2018. ( www.afrimednetwork.org), is a certified Medical NGO in the Ivory Coast expanding medical care in the Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire) Mr. Hartigan serves as a Board Member for the Shanghai Boston Enterprise Park, working with the Shanghai Technology Park, operating a 130,000 sq ft site in Marlborough, Ma. to bring US and Chinese business together for joint venture in the state. During the pandemic, Mr. Hartigan worked with Governor Baker, Jonathan Kraft and the Chinese Consulate in New York to fly the New England Patriots aircraft into China to retrieve medical masks. From 2001 to 2020, Gene Hartigan served as US Media and Government Relations Consultant, for COSCO Shipping, China’s largest ocean shipping carrier; helping negotiate the successful contract between COSCO Shipping and the Massachusetts Port Authority. and coordinated the Advance Team for the December 2004 visit to the Port by then Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. From 2005-2006,Mr. Hartigan served as the North American Senior Advisor for HNA Group/Hainan Airlines, China’s largest privately owned airline, helping establish regular non-stop service to Seattle from Beijing and then from Beijing and Shanghai to Boston. Mr. Hartigan was a Senior Advisor to the Beijing Municipal Government’s Education Commission. In 2009, Mr. Hartigan was awarded the first Beijing Education International Cooperation Award by the Beijing Education Commission. Mr. Hartigan was an appointee to the Governor’s Massachusetts Commission on Asian American Affairs by then Governor Mitt Romney and was appointed by the Massachusetts Senate President to the Massachusetts Asian American Commission. In 1999, he helped orchestrate with the Province of Nova Scotia the opening of a major call- centre operation for Staples, Incorporated in Halifax and Stream International in Northern Nova Scotia, creating over 2,000 new jobs. The Halifax site remains a top site for Staples. Other Nova Scotia projects included CCL Group/Corporatel, then Eastern Canada’s largest advertising and research firm; Fairwyn Development/Nova Learning, one of largest design-build construction firms in the Maritimes; and Cyberplex, Halifax-based technology company serving many of the Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Hartigan was for two years a member of the Nova Scotia Sounding Board established to assist in provincial development. In both 1984 and 1992, Gene Hartigan served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Republican Party, working on the Campaigns of Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush. During the 80s, Mr. Hartigan, a Vietnam Veteran, was a radio investigative reporter. His awards include those from the Associated Press, United Press International, Radio and TV News Directors and The National Headliner's Award. He also was a correspondent for CBS Radio providing ongoing coverage from Boston as well as reports from Canada and Europe.
