Chicago Title: Doing Well And Doing Good In DC

With a yearly deal volume of about $12B, Chicago Title’s National Commercial Services team in DC has its finger on the pulse of the CRE industry.

Cross-border transactions continue to be a strong part of the CRE market in DC, accounting for 23% of it in Q1, up from 14% for Q1 2016, according to Chicago Title vice president Charlotte Troup Leighton.

Aside from a core book of business in the office sector, Q1 activity for the Chicago Title NCS team included a growing number of multi-site/multi-state transactions in senior housing, fast-food, multifamily, specialty retail and government-leased property sectors, Leighton said.

“Our focus this year is to find new ways to add value for our customers and grow our book of business,” Leighton said. “Those who are in the trenches with their title team on deal after deal will tell you that service, expertise and creativity ensures loyalty over the long term. A sense of humor also doesn’t hurt.”

And neither does supporting good causes.

Leighton and her team recently joined a group of friends and colleagues at Wolfgang Puck’s The Source for a memorable barbecue feast prepared by the restaurant’s former chef, Scott Drewno, in support of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. (Drewno is now with a new restaurant group called Fried Rice Collective.)

We are thrilled Chicago Title has joined us as a sponsor of our Bisnow Beltway Bash, to be held at the TAO Nightclub in the Venetian on Monday, May 22, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Las Vegas. Register here.
