The graph above illustrates the median price per square foot (PSF) figures for resale condos in the top condo markets of the Bay Area and Seattle from 2013 and 2014. San Francisco leads with the highest median PSF figure at $895 PSF. Oakland/Emeryville and the South Bay experienced the highest annual pricing increases (up 11.3% from last year), closely followed by S.F. (an 11.2% increase). Although Seattle has the lowest median PSF ($355), it also experienced a significant annual price increase, with that figure rising 9.4% from the prior year. These pricing increases are an indicator that more new condo construction is needed in 2015.
