Cadence McShane Construction Co president Will Hodges has spent the majority of his life building an impressive career in the construction business.

The Louisiana native spent his first six years in the field learning the business from every angle.

Will tells Bisnow that while he was drawn to the transactional side of development, he loved working with his hands and was not interested in going the “traditional route” as he transitioned into an office role.

Naturally, a man this driven was drawn to a company like Cadence McShane.

"Jim McShane is very entrepreneurial in his approach to business,” Will tells us. “I have almost complete autonomy in running the business. While Jim has the majority shares, he and I are business partners.”

Under Will’s watch, the company he helps pilot has undergone significant changes in its overall business model and is now deeply involved in the Texas housing sector.
