Property Managers Testing Dog Poo

Placeholder

Something new in property management: testing dog poo. A Tennessee-based company, BioPet Vet Lab, says that its PooPrints testing kits are now being used by 26 apartment managers or condo HOAs in greater Seattle. Why? For DNA testing of ill-placed dog poo on their properties. If it matches against a database of dogs' DNA, the manager or HOA fines the offending human; according to the Seattle Times, this cuts down on dog droppings left in common areas. The Seattle area is home to an estimated 811,000 dogs (that's 50% more dogs than kids). [ST]
