Why Tech Talent is Moving to Bellevue

Bellevue's a hub within the greater hub of metro Seattle—it has the kind of space where young tech talent wants to be. Come hear more about its future at our Bellevue on the Rise event—subtitled the Future of Washington's Next Big City—at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue tomorrow starting at 7:30am.

Among our all-star speakers will be Concur Technologies senior director Al Kinisky, who tells us the company's global HQ in Bellevue has been a great move for the firm. "We've doubled our size since moving here in May 2013, and we're looking forward to continued growth here," he says. The company, which specializes in cloud-based expense management software, moved from its longtime location in Redmond, building out more than 122k SF in the Key Center in Bellevue.

The new location in Bellevue has been an important factor in hiring top talent, Al adds. "With the balance of commute options available, along with the amenities within walking distance of our building, the location has helped us attract and retain employees," he says. One of Concur's goals in building out the space was to increase the amount of open work space, ultimately reaching 90% in a design by JPC Architects.
