A trio of former CBRE employees is joining Cushman & Wakefield's office leasing and capital markets teams as top talent turnover continues at Chicago's leading brokerages.

Cushman hired Peter Adamo and Adam Lawler as executive managing directors and Madeline Leland as transaction manager.
Adamo joins Cushman following a tenure of more than three decades at CBRE. He specializes in the leasing and sales of corporate real estate. Lawler worked at CBRE for more than five years, and Leland spent more than four years at the brokerage.
Adamo completes an average of more than 75 transactions annually in the East-West Corridor marketplace and "is consistently recognized as one of CBRE's top professionals in Chicago," according to an archived version of Adamo's CBRE profile.
"We’re committed to recruiting the best talent in the industry, and Pete, Adam and Madeline certainly reflect that,” Cushman Midwest Executive Regional Director Damla Gerhart said in a statement.
“They are preeminent advisors and problem solvers for suburban Chicago office investors and will bring our clients the best ideas and solutions as the market continues to strengthen,” she added.
The move comes days after JLL brought on a six-person brokerage team from CBRE with more than 75 years of combined experience at the rival brokerage.
The team includes Kyle Kamin, who represented Google in its 2015 relocation to Fulton Market and its 2022 acquisition of the Thompson Center. JLL also added Jon Milonas, who advised Morningstar on its lease at the Thompson Center late last month.
