Chainqui Development, a real estate developer based in Taiwan but no stranger to Seattle, is planning an apartment development at Battery Street and Third Avenue in Belltown, called Urban Green Villa. The development will have 132 apartments as well as a living wall on the exterior.

The wall of vines up the center of the building will fill in and reach the bottom of the seventh floor in two years, reports the Puget Sound Business Journal. Construction is expected to start in October, with GWest Architecture and Development Services Associates of Seattle designing the project. [PSBJ]
