Apartment-Related Jobs Make Up 40% Of Seattle Real Estate Job Postings

Apartment-related jobs made up 40% of the total real estate job postings in Seattle in January, the fourth-highest in the country, according to a report by the National Apartment Association.

The number of job postings broke down to 35 in maintenance, 29 in property management and 24 in leasing.

The mean salary for a maintenance technician in Seattle was $45,630 in 2016. The projected job growth for this position is 14% statewide. Over the last 90 days, it took an average of 40 days to fill openings for maintenance techs.

Nationwide, there were 528 job postings for maintenance technicians over the last 30 days.

Phoenix had the highest percent of apartment-related jobs in the nation at 47%, followed by Denver at 44% and Houston at 42%. Atlanta followed Seattle at 39%.
