Georgetown Becomes Major Brewer by Focusing on Kegs

Placeholder

Georgetown Brewing Company of Seattle was the second-largest brewer in Washington state in 2013, selling more than 52,000 barrels, and No. 3 last year, and it was all on the strength of focusing on kegs. The craft brewer, which occupies 37k SF near its original home in Rainier Brewing Co’s old plant, doesn't put its beer in bottles or cans, but has stuck with the higher-margin keg business, MarketWatch reports. The company also has the distinction of being the largest draft-only brewery in the country. [MW]
