AMAZON TRIANGULATES
Huge deal alert: The Seattle Times reports that Amazon, which already has a Sasquatch-sized footprint in South Lake Union, has reached a deal with Clise Properties to buy three blocks in the Denny Triangle, with an option to buy more. That's not all: via Seneca Group, Amazon has also filed paperwork with the city indicating that it intends to use the land to build three 1M SF office towers. Details on the new Amazon Triangle (we'll call it that because the purchased land forms a triangle within the Denny Triangle) are still under wraps, but it's said that the Clise family, which developed the properties between Denny Way, 5th Avenue, and Westlake beginning in the 1920s, received bids of more than $600M when the land was for sale in '07-'08.
