Mike Meyer (above) will join the firm as an executive managing director and Calvin “Cal” Meeder will assume the role of regional VP of construction management in Northern California.

The hires represent a major strategic push to strengthen the company’s presence in Northern California, says RiverRock founder John Combs. “Part of our strategic plan is to continue to attract top-ranking professionals like Mike and Cal,” he notes.

John says hiring Mike will pave the way for continued expansion in Northern California. “Mike’s extensive expertise as a management leader in a global company makes him the right choice to align with our firm’s continued growth in the West." Mike previously worked at Cushman & Wakefield for 12 years.

A 20-year industry veteran, Mike will partner with Anne Hinz to manage RiverRock’s Northern California properties. "At this time in this robust economic climate, and given the level and quality of services that we are delivering, RiverRock is ideally positioned for further expansion in the Western market," Mike tells Bisnow about his objectives as a leader.

Cal (above) joins Mike as VP in Northern California, where he will oversee nearly all phases of a successful real estate development, including cost analysis and contract negotiation.

He notes there is an acute need for RiverRock’s services in the Northern California region. "Developers are focused on very specific new projects in today's market and they need a team with the right construction management experience to achieve these ambitious goals," he tells Bisnow.
