Unicorn tech startup Twilio is negotiating to lease two floors of 375 Beale St in SoMa, expected to open in early 2016.

The communications company, valued at more than $1B, could lease 92k SF of the former post office site, which is being renovated into office space.

The 530k SF building will serve as the headquarters for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Association of Bay Governments and the Bay Area Quality Management District, which bought the building in 2011 and have relied on taxpayer funds for the estimated $155M renovation, according to the San Francisco Business Times. Other occupants include two engineering firms and FasTrak Customer Service Center. [SFBT]
