31-Story Tower Planned Across Caltrain Station In SoMa

Placeholder

A new 31-story mixed-use tower has been proposed at 330 Townsend St in SoMa across from the Caltrain.

The 300-foot tower is designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and would have entrances at Townsend and Bluxome streets.

Current zoning for the site caps buildings at 85 feet and upzoning has to be approved by city officials at the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors, according to SocketSite.

Construction at and near transit sites has attracted a lot of interest from developers as short commute times are increasingly being considered the prime amenity they can offer tenants. [SS]
