Knotel Opens First San Francisco Location

Knotel has officially entered San Francisco with its first Bay Area location at 972 Mission St. It will occupy 11K SF and the entire third floor of the Mission Street building. The open office space will contain eight conference/meeting rooms. Knotel offers customizable on-demand headquarters space with flexible service terms, environments branded to the user's culture, quick setup and move-in support.

The company raised $25M in Series A funding in February and has tripled in size. It plans to expand further into the San Francisco area and has continued expansion within its main market of New York City. It also plans to enter other metros and international markets, according to Knotel CEO Amol Sarva.

“We go where there is a critical mass of rapidly growing companies and where the process of finding new headquarters is the most painful for them,” Sarva said.

Knotel puts a company’s brand and culture first and has a more mature and focused member community, Sarva said. Its members include TechStar and Change.org and various elite business leaders such as the first investor in Spotify, a former BuzzFeed president, the CEO of MTV and a co-founder of ClassPass.
