Amazon Leases Additional Space In San Francisco

Amazon will expand its footprint in the Bay Area by 180K SF. The e-commerce giant has leased space in San Francisco at 525 Market St., GeekWire reports. This latest lease brings Amazon’s Bay Area presence to over 750K SF. Amazon signed a lease for office in East Palo Alto and Sunnyvale earlier this year. Amazon’s Lab126 also plans to move its offices to 75 East Santa Clara St. in downtown San Jose.

California is Amazon’s second-biggest market with 30,000 employees after Washington state. Amazon has 11 warehouses, 17 sorting/delivery centers and 11 Prime Now hubs in California. Amazon is looking to fill over 1,000 jobs in the Bay Area.
