Why S.F. Wants This Project To Get Taller

Placeholder

San Francisco's planning department is pushing for a condo project at 2465 Van Ness Ave to consider adding more stories and units.

DM Development's project, proposed at the closed Chevron station on the corner of Van Ness and Union, would include 41 condos in a seven-story building with more than 3k SF of ground-floor retail and a basement car and bike garage, according to SocketSite.

After its preliminary review of the project, the planning department asked to see more stories and units considered under the city's proposed Affordable Housing Bonus Program (which would allow developers to build higher depending on the percentage of affordable units on-site). [SS]
