The saga of the $6B bid to develop Concord's Naval Weapons Station has ended with Lennar Urban declared as the victor. The company was the last one standing after a bruising fight that saw the departure of rival developer Catellus.

Concord's city council voted unanimously to begin negotiations with Lennar on Wednesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Representatives for the city will negotiate new terms for the project and return to the council in around 30 days.

Lennar's victory comes in the aftermath of a tough fight. Catellus accused both Concord officials and Lennar of corruption and official misconduct, triggering an independent review and Catellus' eventual withdrawal from the process. [SFC]
