A Green Light for the Golden Gate Net

We were on the scene Friday morning for the unanimous decision by the Golden Gate Bridge district board to approve funding for a safety net to stop suicides (some 1,600 since 1937) at the bridge. A parade of attendees and media headed to the meeting at the admin building, which sits next to the fog-covered bridge's toll exit (pictured). Perhaps the most influential (and thankful) for the future $76M barrier: Those holding pictures of loved ones who ended their lives at the bridge.
